Senville, several Carrier-adjacent lines, and a pile of Amazon brands are Midea hardware wearing different badges — so buying the Midea-branded unit is buying the factory original, sometimes at a less attractive price than its own rebadges. This 12k wall-mount is genuinely strong hardware: 25.5 SEER2, rated heating to -13°F with about 70% capacity held at 5°F, R454B refrigerant, an occupancy-sensing 'Intelligent Eye,' and a 19 dB indoor unit that's as quiet as anything at triple the price. The catches: WiFi costs an extra ~$119 module, US distribution is scattered (Mini Split Warehouse, assorted marketplaces) which makes future parts a mail-order affair, and at $1,549 it sits awkwardly above the Senville LETO — the same factory's cheaper answer. Worth it when you want the maker's own warranty channel rather than an importer's.
