What you're really buying versus a Senville or Pioneer is a different importer wrapper around the same Chinese factory tier; what you're buying versus Gree-branded gear is a lower price and consumer-channel support instead of distributor politics. The usual budget realities apply — email-based warranty service, mail-order parts, an install that still needs a vacuum pump and ideally a pro, and resale value near zero. For a bedroom or office where -13°F heating suffices, it's a clean value pick.
