| Install | Licensed-contractor install. Mitsubishi's 10-year parts and compressor term applies only when a licensed contractor installs the system and it is registered online; otherwise it is 5 years parts and 7 years compressor. Lineset is 1/4" x 3/8" flare. R-454B is a mildly flammable (A2L) refrigerant, so hire someone trained and equipped for it. | Gree sells through HVAC distributors and installers rather than a consumer store; its site routes buyers to a GREE Select contractor and a warranty registration lookup. The flare lineset (up to 131 ft, 82 ft of rise) needs nitrogen testing and evacuation, and R-32 is a mildly flammable A2L refrigerant, so use an installer certified for it. The outdoor unit needs a 15 A breaker (MCA 11 A) and the lineset is 1/4 in. liquid and 1/2 in. gas per Gree's brochure. |
| Warranty | 5-year parts / 7-year compressor standard; 10 years parts and compressor when installed by a licensed contractor and registered online. | 5 years parts / 7 years compressor with online registration. |
